With more than 20 years’ ceramics experience, I take inspiration from the textures and forms of my environment, from the feelings and impulses that come from the body, and from the characteristics of the clay itself to create singular, expressive, functional artworks.

As a drawer and painter, I combine illustrative techniques with the abstract and textural forms explored in my ceramic work. I aim to push the tensions between control and impulse, close and far, familiar and mysterious with composition, subject matter, and surface treatment.

I write screenplays, personal essays, and poetry that explore the intersections of nonbinary, queer, and disabled identity, and expands the cultural imagination around disabled, queer futures.
