Lee Rosen is an artist and writer.
-
Ceramics
With more than 20 years’ ceramics experience, Lee takes inspiration from the textures and forms of their environment, from the feelings and impulses that come from the body, and from the characteristics of the clay itself to create singular, expressive, functional artworks.
-
Writing
Lee writes screenplays, personal essays, and poetry that explores the intersections of nonbinary, queer, and disabled identity, and expands the cultural imagination around disabled, queer futures.
-
2D Visual Arts
As a drawer and painter, Lee combines illustrative techniques with the abstract and textural forms explored in their ceramic work. The tensions between control and impulse, close and far, familiar and mysterious are pushed with composition, subject matter, and surface treatment.
